Kate Hodmon

Kate Hodmon is a multi-disciplinary artist originally from Co. Wexford, now based in Galway City. She holds a Master of Arts in Creative Practice (2023) from ATU, along with a degree in Illustration with a foundation in graphic design.

Her background is in street spectacle, theatre, and film production, where she honed facilitation and collaboration skills, with community groups and creative practitioners.

Influenced by her career, and becoming a mother the scope, and subject of her practice evolved.

Her creative practice is based in the theoretical research of behavioural and developmental psychology specifically, and moving towards the visceral effects of emotions especially ones rooted in past experiences. She explores these through various media and installations.
